The short version: Student's Corner has no accounts, no sign-up and no database. We do not collect your name, email or phone number. What you type into the tools stays in your own browser. Ads on the site are served by Google, which may use cookies.

1. Who we are

Student's Corner is a free website for students in India, run by kihikila at student-corner.kihikila.in. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean kihikila. You can reach us at [email protected].

2. What we do not collect

We do not ask you to create an account or log in.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, school or exact location.
The text you enter into our tools (resume details, flashcards, homework, notes, budget figures and so on) is not sent to our servers. We cannot see it.

3. Information saved in your browser

Some tools save your work so it is still there when you come back: for example your resume draft, flashcards, homework list, exam calendar, checklists, quiz progress and study-timer log. This is stored in your own browser (using "local storage") on your own device. It does not sync between devices and we cannot read it. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data, or by using the clear options inside each tool. If you clear it, or use a different device or browser, it will not be there.

4. Advertising and cookies (Google AdSense)

We show ads on some pages using Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers and similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see an ad, and measure how ads perform. This may include showing ads based on your past visits to this and other websites, where this is allowed.

We do not control or have access to the cookies Google sets.

You can manage or turn off personalised ads in Google Ads Settings, or learn about opting out at aboutads.info.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, although ads may be less relevant.

5. Other services we load

Google Fonts: the site loads its fonts from Google. When it does, your browser connects to Google's servers, which can see your IP address and browser details, as with any website that loads files from another company.
Links to other websites: many pages link to official portals (exam bodies, scholarship sites, boards, internship sites, YouTube channels). Those sites have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for them.
Email enquiries: the Stationery "Enquire to order" button opens an email draft in your own email app. Nothing is sent until you press send in that app. If you send it, we receive the email and whatever you put in it, and we use it only to reply to your enquiry.

6. Server logs

Like most websites, our web host may automatically record basic technical information when you visit (such as your IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time). This is used for security and to keep the site running. We do not use it to identify you personally.

7. Children and teenagers

This site is made for students, many of whom are under 18. Because we do not collect personal information through the site, there is nothing for a young visitor to hand over to us. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian if you are unsure about anything here, and please do not send us personal details by email. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.

8. Your rights

Under Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have rights over your personal data, such as the right to ask what is held about you and to ask for it to be corrected or erased. Since we hold almost no personal data, this will usually apply only if you have emailed us. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time. For data held by Google (for example, ad cookies), use Google's own tools linked above.

9. Security

We keep the site simple on purpose, so there is little personal data to protect. No website can promise perfect security, and anything stored in your browser is only as safe as your device, so avoid saving sensitive information (such as ID numbers or passwords) in any tool on a shared computer.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change how the site works, for example by adding analytics, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date above. Please check back from time to time.
